There is no 'one size fits all' when it comes to health.

Health means different things to each person and we work through an individualized approach in order to help you find their true physical, mental and emotional health. We help you discover what your needs are and what foods make you feel your best.

Your weight does not determine your value.

Your appearance – including your body size or body weight – does not determine your value in the world. You are more than just a body. You are your character, your personality, your talents, your accomplishments, and more.

Nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated.

Despite the conflicting diet messages you hear, good nutrition is actually quite simple. We help you get back in touch with your own body signals and learn to nourish your body through simple, positive food choices.

Health is not determined by the number on the scale.

Body weight and size are not accurate indicators of a person’s health (this is supported by lots of scientific evidence). Healthy bodies can come in a variety of shapes and sizes and losing weight “for health” is unnecessary.

Diets, meal plans and food rules don’t work.

Dieting is a type of forced starvation, and our bodies are wired for survival. When you start to restrict types and amounts of food your body switches into survival mode, which can mean uncontrollable cravings, overeating and binges.

Food is meant to taste good and be enjoyed.

You don’t have to choose between enjoyment and health when it comes to eating. Food is supposed to be enjoyed and there is even evidence that eating-related pleasure, satisfaction and enjoyment are important components of a healthy diet.

Our approach is highly individualized and rooted in intuitive eating, mindfulness, self-compassion, and the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES). We blend expertise in nutrition and psychology to help you break the cycle of dieting, learn to eat ‘normally’, and nurture lasting health behaviors without obsessing about food or your body. 

As intuitive eating coaches and body image specialists, we help you cultivate a healthy relationship with both food and your body, without trying to control your weight. We take a holistic self-care approach, meaning that we help you learn how to take care of yourself in all aspects of health – including food, exercise, stress management, coping skills, sleep habits, and more.

We help you learn how, what and when to eat based on your body’s own internal cues of hunger, satisfaction and fullness, rather than external cues like diets, food rules or meal plans. But it’s much more than just hunger and fullness cues – we will explore your food beliefs, behaviors, and internal self-talk while delving deep into what food means to you. We’ll help you raise awareness of the emotions behind your food choices, challenge negative thought patterns, and start to create more positive patterns and behaviors.

We help you figure out a way of eating that is right for you and that allows you to take care of your body, without restriction or deprivation.

Our approach will allow you to discover how to feed and nurture your body in a way that permits you to live your life fully while connecting more authentically to yourself and to others.
