Stop Dieting and Obsessing About Food, and Find Peace and Balance
Do you...
- Find yourself thinking about what you should eat instead of what you want to eat?
- Spend much of the day worrying about what you ate (or didn’t eat) or what your body looks like?
- Struggle with all-or-nothing tendencies (aka you’re often either “on” or “off” the wagon - no in between)?
- Realize you've spent years trying to “fix” your eating habits, your body, or yourself - but nothing seems to work?
I get it.
As a nutrition therapist, intuitive eating counselor, eating disorder dietitian, and body image specialist, I have helped hundreds of people cultivate a healthy relationship with food and their bodies so they can live more authentic, unapologetic, liberated lives.
We live in a culture where every day you are inundated with messages about dieting, weight loss, and all that is “wrong” with your body.
But here’s the secret:
Your body is NOT the problem.
And it is possible to get to a place where you can eat what you want, feel free around food, and feel good in your body and with your health.
I help you break free from the diet-binge-guilt cycle and find a healthier, more balanced relationship to food and eating. That way, you can take all the mental energy you spend thinking or worrying about food and your body and put it toward something else.
So that you can live your most
unapologetic, liberated life.
Imagine a life where you:
- Can keep all of your favorite foods in your house (I’m looking at you ice cream and chips) without feeling anxious or out of control.
- Wake up in the morning without that self-critical voice in your head telling you how awful of a person you are.
- Turn inward and trust your body cues to tell you what, when, and how much to eat and exercise.
- Can confidently eat and nourish your body - with no foods off limits (hello dessert!) - and then move on with your day.
- Wear whatever bathing suit you want AND be in the photos, without spiraling into body shame or anxiety.
- Define health, success, and what you want life to look like on your own terms, based on your values rather than society's unrealistic (and oppressive) expectations.
- Roll down a hill, learn to surf, take up jump rope, or do whatever other thing you’ve been putting off because you think it has to wait until you’ve shrunk your body.
It’s possible, and I want to help you get there.

My Approach: Rewire, Reconnect, Reclaim
Healing your relationship with food and your body isn't a straight line, but it does follow a pattern.
Here's the process I guide you through:
Rewire
We'll unpack and unlearn your history and experiences to get to the root of what is going on with your relationship to food and eating, which will allow you to get clearer on what health looks/feels like for you.
Reconnect
Using mindfulness and body-based somatic practices, you'll reconnect to your interoceptive cues (i.e. hunger, fullness), relearn body respect, and restore trust with your body and yourself.
Reclaim
You'll redefine your relationship with food and your body, regenerate through somatic practices, and step into your power, integrating what you're learning into your day-to-day life.

Here's how it works
1. Book your initial appointment.
Once you book your first visit, you'll receive a few short forms to fill out, which will take about 10-15 minutes. These help me get to know a bit about you before we even sit down together, so we can dive right in during our first session.
2. Have your first appointment with Alissa.
Our first visit is a 75-minute session focused on getting to know one another - where you've been, where you are now, and where you'd like to go - while you get a sense of who I am. By the end, we'll have a plan for what working together looks like.
Individualized & Whole-Body Nutrition Care
My approach to nutrition is highly individualized and relational.
I am trained in and utilize a variety of frameworks:
- Intuitive eating
- Mindfulness
- Self-compassion
- Self-care
- Embodiment and somatic work
- Weight-inclusive/Health at Every Size (HAES)
- Medical Nutrition Therapy
- Psychology and therapeutic modalities such as ACT, CBT, and IFS
This is a holistic, whole-body, self-care approach.
You'll learn how to take care of yourself in all aspects of health: food, movement, stress management, coping skills, sleep habits, and more.
Together, we'll get to the root of what you're struggling with and work through everything that comes up along the way.
Committing to food and body healing is deep, brave work.
Together, we go through the “mud” (as one of my clients calls it) that is turning inward, exploring your relationship to food, eating, health, and your body, and moving toward body trust and peace.
I’ll be by your side, providing a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space to sit with the discomfort this work can bring up as you find your way back to your body and yourself.
