"I left my full-time job two months after the Retreat and a month later I had already doubled my monthly income. The Mastermind Retreat gave me insight into the life I wanted for myself, the realization that it was truly achievable, and the strength, confidence, and push I needed to get started. I am so much happier and content with my life thanks to Alissa and the continuing support of the group. I would absolutely recommend the Retreat to nutrition entrepreneurs."

Aspiring Entrepreneurs *NEW*
Are you a dietitian or RD-to-be looking to start your own business? Then this track is for you! You'll learn everything you need to know about setting up and launching your business from scratch. Unsure of what kind of business you want to start? We'll cover that too!
Training workshops will cover:
Current Business Owners
Have you started your business but are struggling to grow, get enough clients, and make the money you deserve? Whether business is full-time, part-time, or a side-hustle, this track is for you! You'll learn everything you need to grow your business and take things to the next level.
Training workshops will cover:
When I first started my business, I felt very much alone. As a solopreneur, I was not only the CEO but also the sales team, product department, IT, customer support, operations...even the janitor! I had no business background to speak of, yet here I was making daily decisions that affected my business and my livelihood...all on my own.
While I loved the flexibility, I felt very isolated. There was no one to bounce ideas off of, or gripe about an annoying client; no brainstorming sessions or after-work drinks. No sense of solidarity.
Which is why I decided to create the Dietitian Entrepreneur Mastermind Retreat.
Come and be surrounded by a community of nutrition entrepreneurs who are taking risks and changing lives. This is not a big conference - I purposefully keep it small (just 16 people!) to allow you to connect and build relationships with the other attendees. These people will be your network not just during the event, but for years afterwards. You'll have a built-in support network to ask questions and get feedback on a regular basis after the retreat ends. For those interested in forming ongoing mastermind and accountability groups, this is the perfect place to start.
Gain clarity and confidence in your business while making friends and lifelong connections.
Because going it alone doesn't have to be lonely.
"Eight months later I have a thriving business and more money in the bank than when I left my full-time job. Investing time and money to figure out my dream was and is well worth it! Trust me, with this retreat, you will not be disappointed!"
Amy Goodson, MS, RD, CSSD, LD. Owner of Amy Goodson Nutrition, Health and Wellness in Frisco, Texas.

"Alissa's retreat helped me feel more secure in my decision to starting my own practice and left me with so many tools to utilize to obtain clients via social media and my optimized website. It helped me to streamline my goals for my practice and discover/hone in my niche clientele. It was great to be surrounded by other RDs who shared a similar goal and yet had so many clever niches for their businesses. All the variety and advice from everyone was invaluable!"

"In addition to the wealth of information provided in the retreat by the super knowledgeable Alissa, I was also pleased with the level of connection to the other attendees. I learned how to improve my pricing and offerings, how to hone in on my target market and stay true to what I really want to do the most, as well as how to go about creating contracts for brands. As a solo entrepreneur, it is invaluable to walk away with a support system in addition to a clear path of how to advance forward."
Caitlin Kiarie, RDN. Owner of Mom-N-Tot Nutrition in Montclair, NJ
"I attended this retreat because I wanted to learn how to build a successful private practice and gain the confidence to do it on my own. One great discovery is that I'm really not on my own because there is such an amazing group of dietitians like Alissa doing this and willing to help others be just as successful. I learned so much at this retreat and felt so prepared to build my business after the weekend was over. I would recommend this for every RD looking to become an entrepreneur, for those just starting out as well as those more established. Alissa is such an amazing resource!
Michelle Sadlowski, MS, RDN, CSSD. Owner of Personal Best RD in Wareham, MA.
"The retreat helped me to evaluate and brand my business so I knew how to position it in the marketplace and to whom. As a result, I immediately had a game plan for how to to do this in three target business areas. I developed one-month and three-month goals and moved forward with those goals in week one! We were provided with helpful material and examples that were clear, concise and actionable, but the material combined with the expertise and experience of Alissa added another level of value. I would recommend this retreat to anyone who is starting any type of practice, who is looking to grow and market it on a higher level, and to those that need guidance with pricing, fees, negotiating contracts. Eight months later I have a thriving business and more money in the bank than when I left my full-time salaried job. Investing time and money to figure out my dream was and is well worth it! Trust me, with this retreat, you will not be disappointed!"

"After meeting Alissa, it was so clear how thoughtful, savvy and smart she is in her approach to her own business. I signed up for her retreat hoping to get some guidance on a couple of blocks that were preventing me from taking the next step in my company and I left with a clear plan for how to move past those blocks as well as a roadmap for what comes next. It was inspiring to connect and share ideas with like-minded entrepreneurs. I definitely recommend this retreat to any dietitian who has recently started a business or wants to take his or her existing business to a higher level!"
Malina Malkani MS, RDN, CDN. Creator of the Wholitarian Lifestyle in New York, NY.
"I would 100% recommend this retreat to any RD who is looking to start their own business, or those who have had their own practice for a long time and need a business boost. The whole experience was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. Alissa clearly lays out everything you need to do, think about, and reach for in order to be successful in your own business. She makes you feel like with the right tenacity and mindset, you will be able to get there and reach your goals. Alissa also approaches the information in a realistic way, and expresses how to tackle one mission at a time so you don't get overwhelmed. Aside from the incredible learning experience, you meet a group of supportive women who are willing to help you along on your journey!
Berit Young, RDN. Owner of The Cupcake Dietitian in Rochester, NY.
"I attended the retreat because I wanted to learn ways on how to expand both my practice and brand. The material presented was new; information I hadn't sent in school, retreats, webinars nor conferences. One thing I liked about the retreat is that Alissa took the time to review each of our specific needs to help us improve our business. I also enjoyed meeting new colleagues and networking. I can't express how motivated I left to continue to build my nutrition practice. I've already made short and long term goals to accomplish within the next 3-12 months. I would recommend this retreat without a doubt to people who need guidance on how to build and grow their nutrition business."
Alexandra Briceno RD, LD/N, CDN. Owner AB Family Nutrition LLC in Miami, FL.
"Alissa is a savvy shining star in the dietetics profession, and all of that comes through in this retreat.
During the retreat I learned that I need to charge more for services, and charge for some things I'm giving for free. The day after the reteat, I got a call from a potential new client and gave her my new raised rate. She didn't hesitate, so I'm going to raise it again! I made the money back I spent on the retreat in one week because the strategies I implemented. Don't hesitate - sign up now for grab and go tools to grow your business."

What is a mastermind?
A mastermind is a group of people who come together to navigate challenges and brainstorm ideas for each other’s businesses. It's a place for support and encouragment, to challenge and hold each other accountable. This might be a short-term arrangement – like a weekend retreat – or a longer term one, where people connect regularly during the year.
Why attend in person if I'm already connected with people online?
Honestly, there is just no comparison in the surface level chats of Facebook and listserves versus the real-time, in-person conversations of face-to-face connection. While I love the convenience of electronic communication, I've been part of numerous in-person mastermind meetings and retreats and the knowledge and feedback I gained in just a few short days was incomparable.
I'm not sure which retreat I should attend - both seem helpful! What do you suggest?
If you have not yet started a business OR are less than a year into business, the Aspiring Entrepreneurs retreat is best for you. If you've had your business for more than a year, the Current Business Owners retreat is more suited. If for some reason you are not able to attend the dates of the retreat that you'd like to attend, or you're not sure which one is best for you, email email@example.com.
Where can I stay in New York City?
The retreat will take place in the Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan, close to multiple subway lines (see more venue details above). There are numerous hotel and airbnb options in the area. You can also be connected with other retreat attendees if you are looking for a roomate. You can fly into JFK , Laguardia or Newark Liberty airport.
